Well…We did it!! The Happy Healing Festival was a huge success. A day of magic, love and loads of Healing. The music, the vendors, the atmosphere - everything was aligned.
I have to thank Kahrin and her family for her incredible efforts in putting this festival together for another beautiful year. It’s because of their generosity and unfaltering belief in the dream that these insights come to life. I love you guys, thank you.
Being on stage felt like a beautiful homecoming. It was the perfect setting to reintegrate back into the art of playing live. I poured my heart for so many beautiful souls in a wide open field. I sang to the swaying trees, the clouds, the birds…the birds ❤️ I couldn’t think of a better space to share.
I’ve had more than a week now to reflect on the experience (and boy I needed the week). I learned so much about how I want to be and feel in this space and what it could really look like. Leading up to the festival I experienced a slew of emotions; anxiety, overwhelm, belonging, bliss and everything in between. The flow of feelings following the performance - moments, hours and days after - was a journey in and of itself (more on that later).
As I stepped off stage, I landed in Kahrin’s arms. Arms that have held and carried me through so many struggles that I faced in order to stand where I am now. I am forever grateful to her and her friendship for guiding me home.
This is the first of many shows to follow. While it feels relatively natural to perform my music solo, I have come to realize that it’s a lot more fun to share that space with others. My dear friend Autumn joined me on stage to sing a song we wrote together last September on a TERRA songwriting retreat. Her presence on stage was so comforting for me. Having a friend to interact and connect with in such a vulnerable space is something I want more of. It’s now a desire of mine to have a team to revel in the dream with. I love the idea of having extra hands to help me set up with ease, and if anything goes awry, I’ll have loving arms to fall into. We’ll figure it out together.
To the future dream team: I love you, I can’t wait to take this ride with you.
Lastly, thank YOU. Thank you for being here and for supporting my self-expression in all its forms. It means more to me than I can yet describe. I am so looking forward to the continued sharing of this journey and the music that is unfolding. Sending my heart out to you.
